FAQ

Hi! I love Young American Comics and want to draw comics for you guys!

Great! Submit something to the current Group Anthology. This give us a chance to get familiar with you and your work. If we really like your submission, we may ask you to work on additional projects!

I live in Canada/Mexico/England/Zimbabwe. Can I still submit a comic?

Yes! Despite our name, we welcome submissions from all over the globe.

I’ve never submitted a comic to you before. Ok, I’ve never made a comic before. Should I still submit?

Yes! You have to start somewhere, and our group anthologies are a great way for people new to the industry to get published alongside more skilled and well-known artists and writers. Of course we can’t guarantee that all entries will be chosen for final publication, but please don’t let that stop you from submitting!

What do I get if my submission is chosen for a group anthology?

Aside from the fame and celebrity of being a published author in the Independent Comics circuit, you will receive 2 copies of the finished book (per submission) and a discount on additional copies. And our gratitude.

Do I retain all rights to my submission?

Naturally.

Can I reprint my submission in my zine/comic/put it on my website?

It is yours to do whatever you want with, however, we do ask that you wait six months after our publication to publish it yourself.

What can I do to make sure I get published in this anthology?

Spell check and proof read your entry! Read all of the rules, follow them and submit before the deadline. Check out our previous anthologies to see what we’ve published in the past. Do the best you can and make your submission unique, professional and well-thought out. Chances are we’ll love it as much as you do. Don’t forget to spell check and proof read your entry!
